Safe Zone Training 101 (Student Training, Part 2)

What is a Safe Zone Training?

This is a two hour training one must volunteer to commit to, a department/class cannot require a safe zone training. Safe Zone trainings are designed to create awareness and enhance skills related to understanding gender identity and sexuality. These trainings provide skills for addressing bias, reducing homophobia and transphobia and allows students, staff and faculty to learn how to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Most importantly we will discuss how these skills are transferrable to student’s respective fields.
